Wuthering Waves x KAKACODE Pop-Up Overview
Last night, the Wuthering Waves team officially announced a new crossover pop-up event with KAKACODE, themed around the *Sky-Clear Frequency* series. Alongside the event reveal, they also rolled out a full wave of collaboration merchandise. The range is surprisingly large this time: on top of the usual character goods, the line-up also includes several completely new items tailored for merch collectors and Wuthering Waves fans.

What’s especially nice is that Drifters in northern China finally get a chance to join the offline pop-up this round. The event will be held in three cities: Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, with a packed schedule of in-store activities and mini-events. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to step outside with fellow fans, this collab pop-up might be the one worth marking on your calendar.
Sky-Clear Frequency Pop-Up Event Details

Let’s start with what everyone cares about most: the Wuthering Waves x KAKACODE collab merch itself. For this joint event, the official store is offering 15 limited-time items in total. You’ll see familiar staples like badges, acrylic stands, and keychain-style pendants—classic pieces that veteran merch hunters can almost pick out with their eyes closed.

Even so, a few items in the Sky-Clear Frequency series do stand out as genuinely fresh. The collaboration plush roll cake, the fluffy hooded cape, and the jelly-style bags are all quite eye-catching in person and feel like they’re designed for fans who actually want to use their merch in daily life. As for the blind boxes, they’re back again as part of this Wuthering Waves collab, which has already sparked some heated debates in the community. The blind-box lineup mainly covers clip-on photo cards, square tin badges, and collectible cards, so whether you walk away happy really depends on your luck.

On top of that, the team has set up tiered purchase bonuses to encourage on-site shopping at the pop-up store. For every 99 RMB spent, buyers will receive one Sky-Clear Frequency group photo clear card. Once your total hits 168 RMB, you can also take home a paper shopping bag from the same themed series. If you’re planning a big haul and your bill reaches 299 RMB, you’ll additionally get a small Sky-Clear Frequency windmill—perfect for photos and a bit of fun after you leave the store.

Since this is billed as a full themed pop-up event, the offline experience is naturally a big part of the draw. The Shanghai and Guangzhou stops will both run from December 24 to January 18, while the Beijing stop is scheduled from January 8 to January 31. The reservation system uses a one-person-one-code rule, so each visitor needs their own booking code to enter. The exact locations for the three cities are already listed on the official announcement, so we’ll focus here on what you can actually do once you’re inside the collab venue.

At all three offline locations, players who arrive on-site and check in with their reservation code will receive a limited stamp card plus two game tickets. The stamp card is designed specifically for this Wuthering Waves x KAKACODE collab and can be used to collect five chibi-style collaboration character stamps, along with one special game stamp. For completionists and fans who enjoy event-exclusive memorabilia, this stamp card is likely to become one of the more meaningful keepsakes from the Sky-Clear Frequency pop-up.

Those game tickets come into play at the event’s mini-game area, where you can try two different interactive games: a dessert-throwing challenge and a resonance-themed jigsaw puzzle. By taking part, visitors can gradually collect exclusive game stamps and a limited set of stickers prepared just for this event. In addition, if you take photos on-site at the Wuthering Waves pop-up, post them on your social media, and show the post to staff, you’ll be rewarded with a random postcard. It’s a small bonus, but for postcard collectors and fans who love documenting their outings, it’s a nice extra reason to snap a few more shots.
Player Impressions and Merch Reactions

Judging from the overall lineup, both the quantity of collaboration merch and the richness of the offline activities are pretty decent this time around. Even so, reactions from Wuthering Waves players have been mixed when it comes to the design and pricing of the Sky-Clear Frequency goods. One item that has quietly become a hot topic is the full-size, real-world blanket—its three-dimensional design looks great, and many fans genuinely like it, but more than a few people feel the price is on the steep side.

The return of blind boxes in this KAKACODE collaboration has also been a point of discussion. Because the blind-box format is entirely luck-based, anyone who wants a specific clip, tin badge, or collectible card has to either roll the dice or trade with other fans after the event. Quite a few players aren’t thrilled about this kind of randomized merch, and some have already said they would rather skip the blind-box section altogether and focus on clearly labeled items they can choose directly.

That said, this isn’t the last collab Wuthering Waves has lined up. More crossover merchandise and brand tie-ins are coming later, including collaborations with big chains like Wanda and KFC. For players who aren’t particularly attracted to the Sky-Clear Frequency series or this KAKACODE pop-up, it might make more sense to hold onto their budget and wait for the upcoming KFC collab, which is already confirmed to be launching soon.
