Genshin Impact, developed and published by miHoYo, is an open-world adventure RPG available on mobile, PC, and console platforms. It officially launched Version 5.3 on December 3rd. Set in the vast continent of Teyvat, players take on the role of the Traveler, meeting companions across seven nations and gradually uncovering the world's secrets.
In this 'The Night Poem of the Northern End' update, I noticed the story shifts its focus to the northern regions. The brand-new Archon Quests, 'Song of the Empty Moon' Acts V and VI, are now available, leading players to explore the secrets of the Northern End in depth.
The new character Durin, a 5-star Pyro Sword user, has made his debut. His core mechanic allows switching between 'Albino Yes' and 'Black No' states via Elemental Skill, which correspond to group support with resistance reduction and single-target enhanced reaction damage respectively, showing high strategic depth in combat. Also launching alongside him is the 4-star Anemo support character Yakoda, who can provide continuous healing and assist with Elemental Recharge in the background through her unique 'Secret Vial' mechanism.
Beyond character and story progression, the system introduces the groundbreaking 'Witch's Lessons' gameplay. By completing specific lessons, players can unlock additional talents for classic characters like Venti, Klee, and Albedo, transforming them into Magic characters and triggering powerful Magic Secret Ritual effects.
Additionally, the new boss enemy 'Super Heavy Land Cruiser Mobile Battle Fortress' is now available in the Paha Island area, requiring players to use Pyro attacks to induce its overheat state for combat. 'Thousand Stars Domain' and 'Genius Invokation TCG' have also received updates with plenty of new outfit sets and card content.
